Making Sense Of the Eagles Inactives
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Jason Peters and Bennie Logan will be active for the Eagles’ game against the Patriots today, despite being listed as questionable on the injury report. Miles Austin, Ryan Mathews, Thad Lewis, Denzel Rice, Cedric Thornton, Barrett Jones and Tanner Hawkinson will be inactive.
That means Sam Bradford is available and ready to start at quarterback after missing the last two games. With Thornton out, Taylor Hart will start at defensive end. Kenjon Barner will also be active and likely carry the ball with Mathews sidelined for the third consecutive week.
Jonathan Krause, who the Eagles promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster a couple of weeks ago, will be available while Austin is inactive for the first time this season.
As for the Patriots, defensive tackle Dominique Easley, linebacker Dont’a Hightower, safety Jordan Richards, running back Trey Williams, cornerback Justin Coleman, wide receiver Julian Edelman and tight end Rob Gronkowski are inactive.
