The Eagles host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and look to avoid losing back-to-back home with the NFC East still up for grabs. We’ll pop in with some updates and thoughts from time to time. Feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.

4:08 – After Sanchez’s third INT of the afternoon, Zach Berman doesn’t think Sam Bradford will be feeling much pressure when healthy.

4:06 – Bucs 45, Eagles 17. Mark Sanchez throws a pick-six with 4:16 to play.

Sanchez is 25-of-40 for 256 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.

3:59 – Most people are confused by Chip’s field goal decision there.

3:58 – Bucs 38, Eagles 17. Caleb Sturgis converts a 43-yard field goal with 5:10 to play.

3:48 – Mark Sanchez throws his second interception of the afternoon and the Bucs take over on their own 35-yard line with 10:05 left.

3:34 – Bucs 38, Eagles 14. Connor Barth boots a 28-yard field goal to extend Tampa’s lead.

The Bucs have 527 yards of offense. They have run 25 plays this half to the Eagles’ eight.

3:31 – Doug Martin with the most yards ever against the Eagles on the ground, according to Reuben Frank.

3:28 – Hasn’t been a hallmark day for the Eagles’ defense.

3:27 – End of 3Q. Bucs 35, Eagles 14. Tampa’s driving once again. The Bucs have piled up 487 yards of offense through three quarters.

3:21 – Eagles injury update, before the Birds are forced to punt the ball away once again.

3:17 – Philadelphia’s mayor-elect weighs in.

3:15 – Tommy Lawlor isn’t quite sure what to say after that dominating Tampa Bay drive.

3:13 – Bucs 35, Eagles 14. Tampa Bay marches down the field, eating up nearly 10 minutes of clock, and Jameis Winston throws his fifth touchdown pass of the evening, this time a red zone toss to Cameron Brate.

The Bucs have 457 yards of offense with 20 minute left in the game.

The drive took 15 plays, 9:47, and went 80 yards.

Jameis Winston is now 18-of-24 for 227 yards and five touchdowns.

2:54 – Zach Ertz update to start the second half.

2:40 – This seems bad.

2:38 – HALF: Bucs 28, Eagles 14. Mark Sanchez ends the first half with an interception in Bucs territory.

Tampa finishes the first half with 355 yards of offense.

2:35 – Jameis Winston is picking the Eagles’ defense apart today.

2:32 – Bucs 28, Eagles 14. Charles Sims makes an impressive contested catch at the one-yard line and scores the Bucs’ fourth passing touchdown of the first half with 1:05 left in the second quarter.

Winston is 13-of-18 for 147 yards and four touchdowns in the first half. The Bucs are on pace for 712 yards of offense.

2:19 – Doug Martin’s 84-yard run was the longest run play in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history.

2:14 – Eagles 21, Bucs 14. Darren Sproles makes good on a Mark Sanchez pass in open space, taking a reverse-field toss 35 yards for a touchdown.

2:09 – Bucs 21, Eagles 7. Doug Martin breaks an 84-yard run, and Jameis Winston throws his third touchdown pass of the game, a six-yard toss to Russell Shepard.

Martin now has 11 carries for 174 yards with 38 minutes left in the game.

Tampa Bay has piled up 266 yards of offense in the first quarter and a half this afternoon.

2:04 – Zach Ertz tried to hurdle a defender on third down, and it didn’t end well. He took an awkward tumble to the ground.

2:03 – After forcing Tampa to punt, Sanchez and the Eagles’ offense respond with yet another three-and-out.

The Eagles’ last four drives have picked up 29 yards on 14 plays.

1:56 – Fairly apt analysis of the Eagles’ offense since their scoring drive.

1:54 – Mark Sanchez and the Eagles’ offense go three-and-out after two unsuccessful plays with Darren Sproles and a miscommunication on an incomplete pass to Nelson Agholor. Jameis Winston and the Bucs take over from their own 20-yard line.

1:50 – Bucs 14, Eagles 7. Winston finds Vincent Jackson in the end zone for the Bucs’ second red zone touchdown pass of the afternoon. Tampa marches five plays and 59 yards in 129 seconds.

1:47 – End of 1Q. Eagles 7, Bucs 7. Tampa is driving once again after a couple of big plays through the air, including an impressively-placed Jameis Winston pass to Mike Evans.

Winston has been able to find his targets with relative ease against the Eagles’ zone defense. He’s 4-of-6 for 57 yards and a touchdown through one quarter.

1:44 – A look at that monstrous Doug Martin run on Tampa’s scoring drive.

1:42 – Mark Sanchez with a pair of overthrows, and the Eagles punt it away for the second time today. The Bucs take over on their own 40-yard line, with 2:05 left in the first quarter.

Sanchez hasn’t completed a pass since the Eagles’ scoring drive.

1:38 – Some context from Reuben Frank on that monster Doug Martin run.

1:35 – Eagles 7, Bucs 7. A 58-yard run from Doug Martin on third down and one sets up a five-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans in the back left corner of the end zone.

Brandon Graham was called for an offsides penalty on third and six, setting up Martin’s run on the ensuing third and one.

Martin now has eight carries for 85 yards in less than a quarter.

1:31 – Bennie Logan blowing up Tampa offensive linemen early on today.

1:28 – Mark Sanchez is sacked on third down after Matt Tobin gets blown up on his block, and Donnie Jones punts it away for the first time this afternoon.

Through two drives, Sanchez is 5-for-6 for 67 yards and a touchdown, and DeMarco Murray has five carries for 32 yards.

1:21 – Doug Martin gets his yards on the Bucs’ first drive, but a third-down stop from the Eagles’ defense on a long pass to Mike Evans forces Tampa to punt the ball away. The Eagles take over at their own 20-yard line.

1:14 – Mark Sanchez’s first drive of the afternoon sure looked smooth.

1:12 – Eagles 7, Bucs 0. Sanchez hits Josh Huff on a crossing route, and Huff runs it across the field, makes defenders miss, and scores on the 39-yard touchdown pass.

1:09 – After a pair of completions from Mark Sanchez, DeMarco Murray fumbles the ball on a one-yard carry.

After a lengthy review, examining a subsequent fumble on the return of Murray’s fumble (yeah, we know), the officials rule it Eagles ball on their own 14-yard line because a Tampa defender fumbled the ball after recovering the original fumble.

1:02 – Tampa wins the toss and defers. The Eagles receive the ball to start the game.

12:30 – Some pre-game reading, to get ready for the matchup.

Josh talked a bunch of Eagles this week to get a comprehensive scouting report of Tampa Bay.

Tim and Josh put their heads together and offered up their predictions for this afternoon.
