Combine Notes: Winston, Kendricks Address Media
INDIANAPOLIS — A small jolt was sent through Indy when an ESPN report surfaced that Jameis Winston was undergoing further testing to determine why he was experiencing weakness in his throwing shoulder. Anything significant, and the top of the draft could have been turned on its head.
Winston eased some of the concern by saying that the shoulder is fine and that he would still be throwing this weekend.
“No sir,” said Winston, when asked if he was feeling any discomfort. “I’ve got the same shoulder I done had the last two years at Florida State.”
Winston handled his session with the media well by most accounts, and said he understands the responsibility that comes with being the face of a franchise.
“I want to let you all know I know made mistakes and I know I have a past but right now it’s about me moving forward and earning the trust of all these 32 teams out there,” he said.
