Report: Eagles Tried To Acquire Vincent Jackson

HOUSTON — The Eagles legitimately tried to acquire Tampa Bay Bucs WR Vincent Jackson, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Glazer did not say what the Eagles offered.

Jackson is due a base salary of $9.77M in 2015 and 2016, respectively, but none of that money is guaranteed.

The 31-year-old has 26 catches for 357 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

Obviously, nothing happened, and Jackson remained with Tampa. But this nugget is worth stashing away for the offseason.
