Report: Barbre Out Four To Six Weeks
No official word from the Eagles on yesterday’s injuries to Evan Mathis and Allen Barbre, but some reports are starting to trickle in.
The following Tweets are about Barbre:
Allen Barbre has high ankle sprain. Still has to see foot specialist, per source. Could be out for a while. Mathis had MRI. Awaiting results

The hope is that it’s not more than 4-6 weeks, source said. He’s expected to see a specialist to evaluate the injury.

Yesterday, David Molk filled in for Mathis at left guard, and Andrew Gardner played right tackle. The most logical candidate to replace Barbre over this next stretch is Gardner, who played well at left tackle in the preseason.
The Eagles’ other option would be to slide Todd Herremans over to right tackle and have someone else (perhaps practice squad player Josh Andrews) play left guard.
Lane Johnson is currently serving a four-game suspension. Assuming Barbre’s out, the Eagles have to figure out a way to get through the next three games before Johnson returns.
