LeSean McCoy Misses Practice Again

LeSean McCoy was absent from practice for a second straight day Thursday because of illness.

A source close to McCoy spoke with the running back earlier in the day and said McCoy is feeling better.

“There’s no way he isn’t playing,” said the source. This is not a doctor speaking, granted, but the sentiment is that McCoy will suck it up and play even if he is not feeling 100 percent. McCoy began feeling sick on Tuesday.

Friday is the final day of practice in front of the Cowboys’ game. We’ll see if McCoy makes it back for that session.

Elsewhere on the injury front: Danny Watkins continues to be sidelined with an ankle injury. Rookie Dennis Kelly is expected to  start once again at right guard if Watkins can’t go.

Chris Polk (toe) and Mardy Gilyard (hamstring) did not practice. Polk was seen on crutches earlier in the day. David Sims (foot) was able to suit up after sitting out Wednesday.
