Kenan Rabah grew up in the Golan Heights, the disputed region between Syria and Israel. (The name of his bakery reflects his hometown, Majdal Shams.) After moving to the U.S. in 2015, he found himself at Lost Bread Co. and now owns Majdal, baking potato-stuffed fatayer, chicken and sumac borek, and other rotating treats from the Levant.
