Best of Philly 2017

This city changes by the minute. Restaurants open; stores close; trends pop up out of nowhere and then vanish; unassuming gems turn into instant classics.

It’s exhausting to keep up with it all, right? That’s where we come in. For the 44th year in a row, the editors of Philadelphia magazine fanned out across our region to taste, test, sleuth and nitpicking-ly determine the very best, so you know where to spend your time and money right now. In the process, we discovered some awesome things: that the best mechanics are women; that there’s a play place for kids built high in the trees; that Philly’s media personalities can still wow us with their honesty; that fine dining is far from dead.
