If you’re a soon-to-be first-time parent, you’re likely building a registry of must-have products. (So many choices!) If you’ve been in the parenting game for a few months — even years — you know your little one cycles through clothes, toys, and gear faster than imaginable. That’s where these nine Philly-area companies come in. When you need babywearing carriers, playthings, books, bath supplies, and everything in between, turn to these sustainability-focused stores and brands.
Everland, Queen Village
Visit this boutique for pre-loved clothes (available in rentable bundles!), books, toys, and feeding supplies, and stay for open play, postpartum yoga, story time for littles, toy-swap happy hour, and nature-inspired activities.
Minnow Lane, Fishtown
For nearly 10 years, this store has been stocking and selling ethically sourced, nontoxic baby, toddler, and big-kid products. Find everything from pacifiers and teethers to apparel, arts and crafts supplies, and even mini SEPTA subway and trolley cars.
The Nesting House, Mount Airy
The Nesting House has it all: cribs, rockers, babywearing accessories, cloth diapers, toys, clothing, registry-building consults — the list goes on. This past September, it expanded with a next-door showroom for brand-name strollers, car seats, high chairs, and nursery furniture.
Rutabaga Toy Library, East Falls
This shop is like a toy playground. Through its memberships, kids get access to everything in the store — that’s more than 1,800 items! — plus four pieces from the inventory to play with at home and swap out as often as they’d like.
Baby Gear Group, Various locations
Philly mom Bo Zhao was frustrated that she kept buying baby items her first daughter either didn’t like or quickly outgrew. So she created this baby gear library that allows parents to borrow new and gently used strollers, high chairs, and the like for as long as they need before buying, returning, or swapping out for the next big thing.
Unless Kids, Northeast Philly
Unless Kids allows you to curate a toy chest through its website — there are both new and used toys, discounted based on wear and tear. A team member will deliver the goodies from the warehouse to your door, and pick up — and either clean for reuse or responsibly recycle — anything your kid has moved on from.

TUBzi, Plymouth Meeting
One of Josh and Morgan Weiser’s newborn twins needed multiple surgeries before age two, and they couldn’t bathe him conventionally. So they created TUBzi, an elephant-shaped bathing assistant that helped keep him seated in the tub and away from the faucet and drain. Meant for infants and toddlers, TUBzi (made with BPA-free food-grade silicone) prevents bathing in dirty water. The liquid from the faucet runs directly through the elephant’s trunk, and the bath drain remains open during use. Its height and pressure are also adjustable.
Pippy Sips, Pennsport
Mother of two Amberlee Venti dreamed up a discreet all-in-one breast-milk cooling, storage, and monitoring device for new moms on the go. The Pippy Sips Maia keeps milk at safe temperatures for 16-plus hours via a cooling puck and a digital thermometer. You can either pump directly or pour milk into the bottle, which is housed in an insulated stainless steel shell.
Baby Bottle Brush Bib Co., Northeast Philly
Founded by mother of three Bessie Lee-Cappell, Baby Bottle Brush Bib Co. seeks to make parenting easier. Among the products: the Brush Bib, a protective silicone barrier that attaches to bottle brushes to prevent splash-back while washing; a pacifier teether clip that can be adapted for use as your baby grows; and an adjustable silicone bottle brush in more than 10 sizes.
