If you haven’t nominated your favorite local health hero for this year’s Be Well Philly Health Hero Challenge, time is ticking! The submission period ends at 11:59 p.m. this Wednesday, July 3rd.
As a reminder, we’re looking for anyone who you believe is making a health- or wellness-related difference in their community. We’re thinking doctors, nurses, medical providers, teachers, coaches, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, but really anyone who strives to help others live healthier lives is an excellent candidate. The only caveat is that the nominee must live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
After July 3rd, we’ll narrow it down to 10 semi-finalists. From there, voting will open to the public, meaning you can help choose our 2019 Health Hero. The winner will receive a $15,000 donation to the charity of their choice—our largest prize yet, thanks to our sponsor, Independence Blue Cross. Two runners-up will each receive a $2,500 donation to their selected charities, as well.
