You Can Add CBD to Any Dish on the Menu at This Old City Restaurant
Ardiente just took the CBD trend to the next level.
It’s official: 2018 was the year of CBD in Philly. From the juices to the spa treatments and smoothies, cannabidiol is quickly becoming a household name. Although the FDA hasn’t released guidelines on consuming the non-psychoactive cannabis compound yet (aside from using it for epileptic seizures), that hasn’t stopped the stuff from popping up everywhere. And now, as further proof CBD is trending (and maybe has gotten completely out of hand?), Old City restaurant Ardiente is offering its guests CBD cocktails and add-ins to any dish on the menu. Yes, that’s right: Any. Dish. On. The. Menu.
Starting on December 24th, the Chino-Latino restaurant will be introducing CBD-infused cocktails and the option to add CBD to their entrees. During the restaurant’s Christmas Eve and New Years celebrations, the CBD add-ons will be complimentary. After that, the cost to infuse a cocktail or food item with CBD will be $2 for every 10-milligram serving. That means you could order CBD spicy shrimp bao followed by CBD filet mignon and for dessert, CBD red velvet cake. Excessive? Maybe.
Chef Nihad Hajdarhodzic says the idea to offer CBD was sparked by its rising popularity and its supposed health benefits.
“We want people to feel good when they experience Ardiente, and this is just another way to do that. We are excited to roll this out during the holidays, and we plan to continue the program indefinitely,” said Hajdarhodzic in a press release.
If you want to try a completely CBD-infused meal, Ardiente is located at 33 South 2nd Street.
