We Took a Spin Class at Revel Ride for This Month’s BWP Underground Event

Our Be Well Philly Undergrounders were back at it last night! This month, we popped up at Revel Ride, South Street’s *swanky* new spin studio, for a 45-minute ride.
In case you’re not familiar, BWP Underground is our monthly, super-secret pop-up workout series. Each month, we plan a workout for our Undergrounders to attend — you have to be on our email list to get the event alerts, so sign up here! Thanks to our sponsors Independence Blue Cross and Verizon, we’re able to make every one of these events freeeeeee to attend.
But anyways, back to last night. After Undergrounders checked in and picked up their complimentary spin shoes (thanks, Revel Ride!), we got ready for the ride, which was co-taught by Revel Ride instructor JJ Francis and owner Jamie Promislo. Together, the pair gave us a taste of all three styles of workouts the studio offers — we did some riding to the rhythm, some straight spin, and a couple of competitive races. And at the end of the night, we all received emails with our stats for how hard (and far) we’d ridden.
Once the class came to a close and all of us were completely soaked in sweat, attendees had the chance to enter their names for a Bluetooth speaker, courtesy Verizon, and a three-class pack, courtesy of Revel Ride.
