You Can Book a De-Stressing Staycation at This Plant-Filled Philly Hotel Room
Surround yourself with living things in Room 6o2, the new Hotel Palomar green room.
Travel can be stressful. Heck, life can be stressful. But you know what sounds like the perfect antidote? An overnight stay in a cushy, luxe hotel room that’s filled with plants.
It’s no secret that plants can help improve your mood. So when we saw that Hotel Palomar had partnered with Hoffman Design Group to transform one of their rooms into a lush, greenery-filled paradise, we were intrigued. Especially as the world outside turns grey and dark — thanks a lot, winter — having a cushy, plant-filled haven to hide out in sounds pretty nice.
In fact, giving people a wellness-focused respite from the impending winter was the inspiration for the room. The hotel is touting the new room, Room 6o2, as an “urban oasis” and a “welcome retreat from dropping temperatures outside,” while emphasizing the stress-reducing benefits of plants. And honestly? Booking a de-stressing staycation there sounds pretty dreamy to us. The room is outfitted with a variety of greenery, from a moss patch above the bed to a succulent selection on the desk to plants in the corner and the windowsill. There’s even plants in the shower, including some stunning hanging orchids.
The hotel is currently accepting reservations between now and December 31 for Room 6o2. You can check out photos of the room here, then head to the Room 6o2 website to book your stay.
