What motivates you to try and make Philadelphia a healthier place?
This city raised me, and I feel it’s my life’s mission to teach people how to live a more fit lifestyle, making it more accessible for the Philadelphia community.
Describe a health or fitness-related turning point in your life.
At the age of 16 years old, I was shot and could have been left paralyzed. So I work out and keep moving because I’m forever grateful I can.
What policy would you institute to make Greater Philadelphia a healthier region?
I would institute “movement” breaks in office settings, breaking up how long people are usually sitting in one place.
What’s the most important part of your health or wellness regimen?
Daily activity is key. Push ups, pull ups, and squats are a part of my everyday lifestyle.
What is your number one piece of health-related advice?
Keep a journal. For the last three years, I have logged 90 percent of my workouts, which has helped me continually advance, as well as all of my clients who practice this.
