Do This: Fit Academy’s Silent Boot Camp Is Coming to South Philly
Outdoor boot camps are lovely. But the only downside? The trainer’s slaved-over workout playlist is usually drowned out by sounds of the city (see: angry, honking commuters). But Fit Academy’s Silent Boot Camp — complete with wireless headphones blaring music into your ears while you burpee — eliminates that issue.
On Saturday, October 28th, Fit Academy is teaming up with Silent Philly for another two-hour silent boot camp at the Navy Yard. New to Silent Boot Camp? Here’s how it works: Fit Academy gives you a set of Silent Philly headphones to wear during the workout so that there’s no external noise – all of the music is piped in through your headphones. Then you can expect a slew of great Philly trainers (including Fit Academy owner and fan-fave Osayi Osunde) to lead you in three separate heart-pumping workouts while DJs provide bass-thumping tunes to help you power through the toughest moves. The event starts at 11 a.m. and will wrap up around 1 p.m.
Oh! And the shindig is sponsored by Core water and Red Bull, so don’t worry about being dehydrated. Tickets are $40 and you can purchase them here. For more details, check out the event page on Facebook.
