Be Well Philly’s Summer Yoga Flow: Our Free Weekly Yoga Series (With a DJ!) Is Coming Back!
I am reaaaaally bad at keeping secrets. Ask any of my friends and they will tell you: I’m the worst. So, me holding this information in for the past few months and resisting the urge to scream it from the rooftops required Olympic-level mental strength, if I do say so myself. (Why yes, I am patting myself on the back right now.) But now I FINALLY get to share it with you guys. Here goes: Starting Tuesday, July 11th, we are teaming up with the wonderful folks from Queen Village’s Three Queens Yoga to put on a free weekly outdoor yoga series — Be Well Philly’s Summer Yoga Flow — at Dilworth Park.
Say it with me: YESSSSSSS.
As some of you may remember, we hosted Be Well Philly’s Summer Yoga Flow at the Comcast Center throughout the summer of 2015. This year, the summer series is coming back even better. Every Tuesday from 6 to 7:15 p.m. from July 11th through August 29th, the lovely Mariel Freeman of Three Queens Yoga will lead folks through a free, BYO-mat outdoor yoga class at Dilworth Park. And this time around, we’ll have the awesome DJ SYLO creating musical magic while we get our downward dogs and savasanas in under the sun. I repeat: YESSSSSSS.
You won’t need to sign up for the series, but space will be limited and you’ll have to sign a waiver before getting your sweat on each week, so we suggest you arrive early to lay your mat down and get that out of the way. (Or you can make your life a bit easier and come super-prepared by printing your waiver out here and signing it before class.) And because the classes will be outdoors, weather cancellations may happen (be nice to us, weather gods!). You can check Be Well Philly’s Twitter for up-to-date info if the forecast is looking funky.
We are so, so, SO excited to downward dog with you lovely people every week. You’ll find anything else you need to know about our yoga series here. See you on your mats come July 11th, friends!
