Why You Should BYO Swimsuit to This Year’s Be Well Philly Boot Camp
Fact: There are only three more sleeps standing between us and the best day of the year — Be Well Philly Boot Camp, of course! And this year, for the first time ever, along with the slew of other fitness activities we have going through the day (think: upward of 20 fitness classes from the likes of Barre3, Thrive Pilates, Three Queens Yoga, Freehouse Fitness and many more, healthy-cooking demos with Philly chefs, inspiring speakers),we also will have an in-the-water fitness class for the very first time. The class, Splash + Sweat, will be led by the wonderful Holly Waters of Fitness Alive Swim Academy.
Say it with us: YIPPEE!
The 45-minute class will be a boot camp-style class held in the pool at Drexel Recreation Center, where we will also have Aqua Vida’s stand-up paddleboard fitness classes going earlier in the day (though, depending on your balance, you won’t actually land in the pool during those). And we can guarantee you, it will be a killer, sweaty and super-fun workout.
It’s in the last workout slot of the day, at 12 p.m., which means you won’t have to traipse around wet throughout the rest of the event — you’ll just dry off, then head outside to hear our Empower Hour speaker, Laura Vanderkam, dish on how to kill it in life by maximizing your time.
To join in on the class, just make sure to bring a bathing suit and a towel with you to Boot Camp on Saturday, and sign up for the class when you are checking in on Saturday (pool classes are the only classes at the event that aren’t first-come, first-served). Can’t wait to see you all there!
