Watch: Runners Carry Struggling Fellow Runner to Finish Line at Philly Love Run
I wasn’t expecting to cry so early in the week, but at 9:47 a.m. on Monday morning, here I am. Before you judge me, just know, you’re about to need a tissue, too. Here’s why: At yesterday’s Love Run Half Marathon, Fox 29 caught footage of three awesome and admirable runners helping a struggling fellow half-marathoner across the finish line.
Coming into the finish line, the runner’s legs appear to be giving out on her (not so weird after 13 miles of running) when two fellow runners swoop in and grab her by each of her arms, pulling her along. Eventually, another runner comes over and picks her up (after 13.1 miles, this is VERY impressive), carrying her to the finish. We all get by with a little help from strangers sometimes, right?
