The Perfect Sunday Run: Run to Brunch at Johnny Brenda’s

This Sunday morning, you could be a total sloth and lounge in your pajamas until your stomach starts to growl then toast a three-day-old bagel and top it with whatever you have in the fridge and call it brunch. But frankly, that sounds sad. So instead, we say join up with the folks from Yards Brewing Company for their next #yardsbRUNch run.

Here’s the deal: Runners will meet at Yards on Delaware Avenue at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday for a three- to five-mile run through Old City, Center City, Fairmount and Northern Liberties, landing at Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown. There, runners will chow down on much-deserved brunch (Think: stuff like parmesan grits and hot cakes. Mmmm.) and enjoy Yards specials. So much better than a stale bagel, right?

All paces are welcome and the run is free to join in on, but you’re on the hook for your brunch and beer tab. There’s no need to sign up ahead of time; just show up at Yards on Sunday ready to run.
