Healthy Fast Food: Bryn & Dane’s Opening Three New Locations Around Philly
Healthy fast food seems to be very popular right now, and we couldn’t be happier: There’s HipCityVeg, opening a fourth Philly location this spring, then Snap Kitchen, which just opened its first two Philly locations last week, and now Horsham-based Bryn & Dane’s — a fast food spot that prides itself on healthy, lower-calorie options — is opening three new locations around Philly, all set to open by by early 2017.
According to a press release, the first new location, in the new mixed-use project Bryn Mawr Village, is slated to open in spring of this year; the second, at Route 29 and Atwater Drive in Malvern, is shooting for a fall 2016 opening; and the third, at 834 Chestnut Street in Washington Square West, is set to open in early 2017. The addition of these three locations will bring the chain to six locations total.
If you’ve never been to Bryn & Dane’s, note that it is definitely not your average fast food joint — which is a good thing in our book. On the menu, you’ll find items like build-your-own acai and chia pudding bowls, lots of smoothies — most of which clock in at under 300 calories and allow for add-ins like flaxseed, hemp protein and more — a slew of salads and wraps, and sides like sweet potato hash. They also put an emphasis on using local ingredients from farms in the area. See? Not your average fast food spot.
And for all of you who see yourselves hitting up the Washington Square West location come its opening, it just occurred to us that it will be right down the street from the new Solidcore location, the first in Philly, opening in the spring. We see some post-workout snacking in your future!
