New South Philly Burrito Joint Will Serve — Wait for It … — Avocado Fries
Hat tip the Passyunk Post for today’s little nugget of deliciousness. They’ve got details on a new burrito joint headed to South Philly that’ll cater to gluten-free and vegan diners, with one particularly intriguing menu item: avocado fries.
We’ll wait while you wipe up the drool from your keyboard …
Ready? Cool. The place is called Wild Burrito, and it’s actually an import from Wildwood Crest, where owner and South Philly native Joe Carpenter has a three-year-old seasonal Tex-Mex joint of the same name. It looks like the aforementioned avocado fries are a staple of the menu there, too, so if any of you have actually eaten them, please enlighten us as to their deliciousness. We’re intrigued enough by the photo above.
According to Passyunk Post, the restaurant will also feature things like nachos, quesadillas and, of course, burritos, with offerings specifically geared toward gluten-free eaters and vegans. Also? There appears to be something called ghost pepper brownies. All music to our ears.
The Wild Burrito will be located at 2015 East Moyamensing Avenue in Pennsport. Get more details here.
