I have a problem: I want to run and adopt pretty much every dog we feature in our This Week’s Adoptable Running Dog series. But this week’s is a real chain-me-to-my-desk-chair-so-I-can’t-run-to-PAWS-right-now kind of situation. This week’s dog, Rambo, is a young puppy who is a great learner and is friendly with just about everyone — and THAT face. Okay, chaining myself to my desk chair now. You can find out more about him below.

Name: Rambo

Breed: Pit bull-Terrier mix

Age: 3 to 6 months old

Weight: 32 pounds

Running style: Rambo is all puppy! He is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite among the Milers, because he’s a busy young guy who learns fast and is eager to please.

Why Rambo is awesome: We don’t expect this young guy will stay at PAWS long, especially since he’s got such an open mind: The Milers and PAWS think Rambo would do well in a forever home that has people, other dogs and/or cats!

………..

We work with The Monster Milers each and every week to profile local running dogs waiting to be adopted. The Monster Milers are a group of runners who help shelter dogs burn off  energy and get much-needed exercise by taking them on runs around the city, and they also just launched their first-of-it’s-kind Adopt a Running Buddy foster program. If you’re not in the market for a pup right now, but would still love to help out homeless dogs, you can always become a Monster Miler volunteer or foster parent. Find out more about how to get started with those processes here
