This 5K Ends With Dogs Galore and Free Massages (And We Have a Discount Code!)

A gaggle of dogs. Free massages. Food trucks. What else could you ask for at the finish line of a race? The Rescue Run 5K, coming up Saturday, October 3rd at the Navy Yard will give you all of this, plus a good morning workout. And pssst: We have a discount code!
The run benefits the Monster Milers, a shelter-running and foster nonprofit group that runs with adoptable pups to help them get out pent-up energy so they’re more calm and collected in their kennels and, ultimately, more adoptable. Yeah, they’re pretty great. So, given that its their race, it only makes sense that the run — chip-timed, by the way — ends with an adoption fair, complete with 11 rescues and shelters showing off their adoptable animals.
And as I mentioned above, at the finish line, along with pups galore, you’ll also find free massages courtesy of Phila Massages and food trucks to help you refuel.
