Ask and ye shall receive. I was more than heartened last week when, after posting my plea to Philly fitness studios to offer kid-friendly classes at convenient times for working moms, I heard from several local trainers and studio owners who promised plans were in the making. GoalsFit’s Kasey Manwaring wins the award for fastest turn-around time, as she’s kicking off a boot camp series this weekend for moms (or dads) with kids in tow. Yes!

This Saturday, September 19th, Manwaring will host a free (yes, FREE) hourlong class at Lloyd Hall aimed at shredding your body from head to toe — all while your precious little bundle of joy watches from his stroller. “We do a ton of exercises with strollers and partners,” she says. “So if you’re running sprints, your partner will be staying with the kids. But for the most part, I like to do exercises that either involve the stroller, or have you working out right in front of your baby.”

The class is part of Manwaring’s Back to Body Boot Camp classes, which also take place on Wednesdays at Valley Green Inn and Thursdays in Ardmore, both at 9:30 a.m. The Saturday session was specifically created to accommodate the schedules of folks who work and can’t make it to the mid-week sessions. Isn’t that grand?

As I mentioned, this week’s trial session is free. After that, there will be class packages available to get you through the end of the series on October 31st. Meet at Lloyd Hall at 9:30 a.m.

I can tell you that I will 100 percent be there this weekend with little Noah in tow. I’m SO PUMPED to have a class that actually fits my schedule. Will I see you there? You can RSVP here.
