Meet Madonna, This Week’s Adoptable Running Dog
This week’s adoptable running dog, Madonna, is currently at ACCT waiting for someone to come scoop her up. Learn more about her below. Warning: You are about to ready so many puns.
Name: Madonna
Age: 3 to 4 years
Weight: 40 pounds
Breed: Terrier mix
Running style: The Milers haven’t run with Madonna yet, but since she’s an energetic dog, they think she’d be a great sidekick for those of us in training for fall races. She’s a loyal companion and would probably love nothing more for you to Open Your Heart and let her trot by your side as you get Into the Groove of your run. Madonna also loves swimming. Duathlon or triathlon, anyone?
Why Madonna is awesome: Like the singer, this Madonna has tons of personality. She’s just looking for someone to Cherish her. She’s not a Material Girl – she just wants some exercise and a toy to play with and she can entertain herself for hours. She’s a Ray of Light around others – she loves everyone she meets, she’s dog social and gets along well with kids. She might even play Dress (You) Up with them. You’ll thank your Lucky Star when this silly and playful girl makes you laugh every day!
If you’re interested in adopting Madonna, stop by the ACCT at 111 West Hunting Park Avenue and ask about adopting. Madonna’s record number is A27914467. ……………..
We work with The Monster Milers each and every week to profile local running dogs waiting to be adopted. The Monster Milers are a group of runners who help shelter dogs burn off energy and get much-needed exercise by taking them on runs around the city, and they also just launched their first-of-it’s-kind Adopt a Running Buddy foster program. If you’re not in the market for a pup right now, but would still love to help out homeless dogs, you can always become a Monster Miler volunteer or foster parent. Find out more about how to get started with those processes here.
