Weekend Guide: Juice Shop Opening, In24 Philadelphia, Brunch Burn Spin Class, and More
If you’re sticking around the city for the weekend, lucky you: There’s a ton of fun stuff on the roster for the health-food obsessed and fitness-inclined. Below, our tops picks.
1. Free Boot Camp at Philly Phitness
When: Saturday, July 18th at 9 a.m.
Where: 130 South 17th Street, Rittenhouse
We love a free workout, but a free workout that’s also for a good cause? Way better. This Saturday (and the next two Saturdays, too!), Philly Phitness is hosting a free boot camp to raise awareness about their fundraiser for local charity Back on My Feet. So go get your sweat on, people!
2. Grand Opening of the Juice Merchant
When: Saturday, July 18th from 12 to 3 p.m.
Where: 4330 Main Street, Manayunk
Free juice, people. Need I say more? This weekend, Manayunk’s newest juice spot is hosting an afternoon of juice samples, food samples (everything is vegetarian, by the way!), music and more. What more could you ask for on a Saturday afternoon?
3. Brunch Burn Ride at Body Cycle Studio
When: Saturday, July 18th from 8 to 9 a.m.
Where: 1923 Chestnut Street, Rittenhouse
The theme of this tag-team ride? Top Billboard Hits of Summer — but wait, it gets better. You’ll hear songs from the early 2000s to now (rumor has it Nelly made it onto the playlist). Post-ride, participants will refuel with some well-earned snacks from Pure Fare.
4. #NightShiftPHL Run
When: Sunday, July 19th, time to be announced on Sunday
Where: To be announced
As we told you guys yesterday, Run215’s next #NightShiftPHL run, their free occasional fun runs for night owls, is coming up this Sunday. They don’t announce the specifics — time, meeting spot, and so on — until 24 hours before the race. But what we can tell you is there will be plenty of food: cake, soft pretzels, beer, cheesesteaks. It will be truly magical. Check Run215 on Saturday night to get the specifics.
5. Back on My Feet in24 Race Challenge
When: Saturday July 18th to Sunday July 19th
Where: Art Museum Area
Whether you’re running the Urban Ultra (that entails running as many laps around the Schuylkill as you can in 24 hours), the Midnight Madness Race, the 5K or the Relay Challenge, or just watching, this two-day race event is a must.
