Listen up, Broad Street runners! Duross & Langel’s new yoga studio has created a class just for you: This month, they’re hosting a three-part yoga series to help Broad Street runners prep for the big day, with classes focusing on injury prevention, alignment and recovery techniques.
The classes will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 14th, 21st and 28th, and each week will focus on a different element to get you race-day ready. The first class will focus on the abdominal muscles and increasing your stability so that you put less strain on your muscles and connective tissue while running; the second week will home in on your hamstrings; and the third week will be all about improving alignment and strength in your hips, plus post-run recovery tips and how to deal with after-run hip tightness.
You can opt to drop-in to just one class for $16 or you can sign up for the whole series for $40. To secure your spot, stop in to the studio at 109 South 13th Street or give them a call at the yoga studio (267-606-6242) or at the Duross & Langel store (215-592-7627).
