MAP: Where to Find Park(ing) Day Pop-up Parks Around Philly Today

We’ve got a double whammy today, as far as fun events in Philly go. In addition to it being #RuntoWorkPHL Day, it’s also Park(ing) Day, a day in which parking spots around the city turn into pop-up green spaces.

This year, there are over 50 local businesses and nonprofits participating. The public is invited to enjoy the converted parking spots as places to catch some R&R.

This year marks the seventh for Park(ing) Day here in Philly. It’s a national movement that started in San Francisco in 2005. The mission: to raise awareness and support for green spaces in urban environments.
