Warning, nut butter fiends: Yesterday, the FDA announced the recall of peanut and almond butters distributed across the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, and the Dominican Republic due to risk of salmonella contamination.

The voluntary recall was issued by nSpired Natural Foods, Inc. after a routine FDA testing. The nut butters being recalled are Trader Joe’s crunchy and creamy raw almond butters, Whole Foods 365 creamy and crunchy roasted almond butters, as well as Maranatha almond butter and peanut butter, Arrowhead Mills organic peanut butter, Safeway almond butter and Kroger almond butter. All are slugged with “best by” dates ranging from December 2014 to July 2015.

As of yesterday, the company had received four reports of illness. You can find more info on the recall here.
