#BWPSelfie of the Week: This Workout Shirt Is the Best Inspiration Ever
Welcome to our new Monday feature, the #BWPSelfie of the Week! Read about why we’re celebrating selfies—and the sweaty Philadelphians who take them—below.
Name: Michelle Haughton
Day job: Instructional aide
Where she snapped this: Cheltenham High School Track
How often she does track workouts: I try to go to the track at least once per week. It’s a great place to run speed drills and focus on my pace.
Where she likes to run in Philly: I love to run along Kelly Drive. The scenery is beautiful and it’s motivating to see other runners out there as well. Sometimes I pick a random person who’s ahead of me and challenge myself to pass them so I’ll have a reason to run faster.
Where she got that fantastic shirt: This is my favorite shirt—I’m glad you like it! I bought it a couple years ago from a vendor at the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival. This shirt appeals to me because it reminds me to enjoy being unique and it keeps Jamaica close to my heart.
How she stays motivated to sweat: I stay motivated to sweat by running with my friends, Carla, Tahiyyah and Rian. We sign up for races and that gives us a goal to work towards.
Editor’s note: The #BWPSelfie of the Week is our way to give a virtual high-five to Be Wellers who are sweating up a storm, making deliciously healthy meals, trying new adventures, and having all kinds of fun in and around Philly. So we want you to send us your healthiest, happiest selfies—tag ’em #BWPSelfie on Instagram and Twitter, or email them—and we could feature you in an upcoming edition.
