Spanx Devotees, Rejoice: Spanx Is Making Jeans Now
Remember a few months ago when we told you all the ways Spanx are totally terrible for your body? To refresh your memory, all that body-shaping compression can cause digestion problems, reduced circulation and leg pain and numbness. Yikes.
But don’t worry Spanx lovers, today I come bearing good news: It looks like the beloved shape-wear brand will be introducing some new, more flexible and less organ-crushing styles soon. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Spanx will be launching denim jeans in July and, unlike most of the company’s garments, these jeans won’t be relying on compression to make you look good.
As Spanx founder Sara Blakely told WWD, “We’re known for making you look thinner and more toned, but it can just be about a better cut and fit.” The jeans, made with a cotton, polyester and Lycra blend will be available in two styles: the high-waisted Signature and the traditional five-pocket style Slim X. Finally, a pair of Spanx you won’t be embarrassed to show off!
