To Do: Urban Scramble on the Schuylkill with Philadelphia Runner
Calling all multi-tasking and fun-loving runners! Philadelphia Runner is hosting a summer version of its Urban Scramble, which entails over 100 runners sprinting around the city collecting raffle tickets from local businesses. After tickets are collected, you’ll dash back to a grassy area by the Schuylkill for some grilling, beer and raffle drawings. This year, there will be a free showing of 10 Things I Hate About You as a part of the 2013 Schulkill Banks Movie Series. So run, hydrate, watch a movie and be merry in Philly!
The scramble starts promptly at 6 p.m. in front of Philadelphia Runner’s Center City location on Thursday, June 13th, and will end on the Schuylkill between Locust and Walnut. Register here. There is a suggested donation for Schulkill Banks, which helps to revamp the waterfront as public area for recreation (and is hosting the free 90s flick you’ll be catching).
$10 donation, June 13th at 6 p.m.,1601 Samson Street, Philadelphia.
