To Do: WHYY’s Y12K Race

Sesame Street isn’t the only thing WHYY’s known for around these parts. Philly’s public broadcasting station is also the organizer of a super fun 12K now in its fourth year, taking place this year on Saturday, November 10th. The race takes runners from the south side of the Art Museum to Falls Bridge and back for for a 12-kilometer (or 7.45-mile) course along tree-lined West River Drive. Other race day events include the Y Kids Family Fit Zone and 3K Family Walk/Run, which invites families to saunter along the Schuylkill River, enjoying the same course as the 12K but with only a quarter of the length and commitment. All proceeds benefit WHYY.

$40 for WHYY members, $50 for nonmembers, November 10 at 9 a.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia.
