Join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network on November 5th for PurpleStride Philadelphia 2011, a 5K to raise funds for research on this terminal illness—the same disease Apple CEO Steve Jobs battled for seven years. Pancreatic cancer severely weakens its victims and is one of the hardest diseases to battle.
With the help of further research and medical breakthroughs, PCAN hopes to double the five-year survival rate by 2020. Sign up for this Fairmount Park run to help them reach this year’s goal of $550,000. Bonus: Flyer Ian Laperriere will make a special appearance!
