Run this 5K to sweat for a cause and enjoy a day at the Zoo

For a fun-filled, family-oriented day, register for the Beat Cancer 5K Run and Fun Walk at the Philadelphia Zoo on August 27. Your entry fee comes with a free zoo admission, and with an early morning event start, you’ve got all day to amble among the exhibits at your leisure. Got youngsters who love animals? Kids under two get in for free if they tag along. Proceeds from the event benefit BeatCancer.org, a non-profit that provides educational materials on how to prevent and live with cancer through healthy diet and lifestyle choices. So go out for a run to promote healthy, cancer-free living for you, your family and your community (and for the chance to win a cool trophy, of course).
