Ciright, a computing company, is doing its part to end the growing diabetes problem in Philadelphia. On July 23, they’ll host a 5K run on West River Drive, providing views of the Schuykill River and striking Philly skyline. Proceeds from the event, including the $15 registration fee, will support the Philadelphia Diabetes Act Now Foundation, which educates people on the importance of monitoring daily intake of sugars to prevent diabetes. So run this race to benefit not only your own health, but the rest of the city’s too. – Kathryn Siegel
