Mother Nature
Many new moms struggle to regain their pre-baby bodies, but a regular yoga practice is one of the fastest ways to tighten and tone post-pregnancy. Try it under the great blue sky with Yoga Mamas, a new outdoor class held at Green Lake Park in Western Montgomery County. The class targets areas that suffer during pregnancy and childbirth, like the abdominal wall and back muscles, to improve strength, stamina, and posture. It’s also a great way to relax and have fun with other new moms in your area. $15, Wednesdays starting June 21, 10AM, Green Lane Park, 2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane, info@onefitmama.com.
A Bird’s-Eye View
As the weather heats up, Marlene and Ed Nawrocki of Narwocki Fitness take their downward dogs to the sundeck at the 1500 Locust Apartment Complex in Rittenhouse. The view of the city’s skyline from 45 stories up is breathtaking, and will quickly pop any stress bubble currently hanging over your head. Bonus: Ed’s a drummer and often sets the rhythm of class with live bongo music. How’s that for a change? $25, May 31, 7:30PM (see calendar for additional offerings), 1500 Locust Street, 215-670-2030.
