Long before she met us at the pre-war pied-à-terre of one of her clients, Wilmington photographer Laura Novak had sold us on her line of photo-splashed canvases, wallpaper and upholstered goods. Novak calls her ingenious new collection — really a sky’s-the-limit way to customize all manner of portraits — “Art of Family.” We knew instantly it was a brilliant idea, but it wasn’t until we’d seen the pieces in context, against the flat’s soft gray walls bordered by graceful mouldings, that we absolutely fell in love with the blend of timeless and today.
