Mayor Nutter Adds Cuts to Five-Year Plan, Gets Approval From City Controller
City Controller Alan Butkovitz has given his approval for Mayor Nutter’s five-year fiscal plan for Philadelphia now that the administration went back and added provisions that will address the cuts necessary to account for the retroactive pay raises and benefits awarded to the city’s firefighters. Mayor Nutter’s administration had originally omitted the cuts because they’ve appealed the decision that granted the firefighters the revisions. So, now, Burkovitz recommends that the PICA board approve the plan. [Daily News]
