72,000 Penn State Fans “Like” Facebook Post Comparing Joe Paterno to Abraham Lincoln

Ugh. So, on July 23rd someone made a Facebook status that has since gone viral. As of 10:52 a.m. Tuesday it had received 72,165 “Likes.” At the same time, the most recent comment on the post was “FANTASTIC.” The post demands an apology from ESPN for, “dragging the school, Joe Pa, the victims, and the fans, alumni, and families of Penn State through the dirt by giving an unfair and completely biased, opinionated report.” That came just sentences after the author compared Joe Paterno to Abraham Lincoln.
