Eagles Snap Counts: McCoy Gets Full Workload
Here’s a look at Eagles snap counts from Sunday’s loss to the Redskins. We’ll go position-by-position.
Overall Snaps | Snap % | |
---|---|---|
LeSean McCoy | 64 | 84% |
Bryce Brown | 10 | 13% |
Dion Lewis | 3 | 4% |
Emil Igwenagu | 12 | 16% |
So much for easing LeSean McCoy back in. The Eagles running back had not played since Nov. 18 (concussion), but he had an even higher percentage of snaps than usual (84 percent). Bryce Brown got just four carries for 18 yards and played 10 snaps.
Emil Igwenagu filled in for Stanley Havili at fullback, but played just 12 snaps.
Overall Snaps | Snap % | |
---|---|---|
Jeremy Maclin | 75 | 99% |
Riley Cooper | 73 | 96% |
Jason Avant | 59 | 78% |
Damaris Johnson | 16 | 21% |
Marvin McNutt | 3 | 4% |
Brent Celek | 60 | 79% |
Evan Moore | 5 | 7% |
Jeremy Maclin had eight catches for 116 yards on 14 targets. Riley Cooper played 96 percent of the snaps, but had just one catch for 18 yards on two targets. Jason Avant had eight catches for 70 yards on 12 targets.
Evan Moore just signed with the team last week. He played five snaps. Yet, with the game on the line and the Eagles facing a 1st-and-goal from the 5, he was the first read for Nick Foles on a slant. Moore dropped the pass, and the game ended on the next play. Doesn’t sound like putting players in the best position to succeed, if you ask me.
Overall Snaps | Snap % | |
---|---|---|
Trent Cole | 42 | 79% |
Brandon Graham | 39 | 74% |
Cullen Jenkins | 33 | 62% |
Derek Landri | 25 | 47% |
Fletcher Cox | 25 | 47% |
Cedric Thornton | 23 | 43% |
Phillip Hunt | 14 | 26% |
Vinny Curry | 11 | 21% |
Once again, the Eagles went with a tightened rotation. Trent Cole and Brandon Graham played 79 and 74 percent of the snaps, respectively. Darryl Tapp was inactive. Phillip Hunt and Vinny Curry played 14 and 11 snaps, respectively. Looks like we’ll have to wait until next season to see what Curry’s potential is.
Fletcher Cox left the game with a concussion. Derek Landri and Cedric Thornton filled in.
Overall Snaps | Snap % | |
---|---|---|
DeMeco Ryans | 53 | 100% |
Mychal Kendricks | 51 | 96% |
Jamar Chaney | 33 | 62% |
Akeem Jordan | 2 | 4% |
Overall Snaps | Snap % | |
---|---|---|
Nnamdi Asomugha | 53 | 100% |
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie | 52 | 98% |
Brandon Boykin | 20 | 38% |
Curtis Marsh | 1 | 2% |
Kurt Coleman | 53 | 100% |
Colt Anderson | 53 | 100% |
Not much to report with the linebackers and defensive backs. Andy Reid indicated that Nate Allen might mix in with Colt Anderson and Kurt Coleman, but that did not happen. Allen played only on special teams.
The Eagles were in nickel with Brandon Boykin on 38 percent of their defensive snaps.
