Chris Christie Takes a Back Seat to No One. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie gave a rousing speech at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night. He noted the unlikelihood that a Republican from Jersey was called upon to give such an important speech and then took his time getting around to endorsing the official GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. District Attorney Seth Williams plans to criminally charge Joshua Scott Albert created a Facebook page supporting the men accused of killing officer Moses Walker Jr. Albert followed up that performance with a “Kill Mitt Romney” page and added “Kill Seth Williams” and “Kill John McNesby” pages on Tuesday. Bucks Officer Faked Being Shot. Evidence indicates that the police officer in Bucks County who reported that he had been shot in a parking lot and saved by his bullet-proof vest made it all up. Apparently the officer used a personal gun to fire the bullet prior to the alleged incident. [Inquirer]
