In the summer of 1973, award-winning photojournalist Dick Swanson took to the streets of Philadelphia to capture shots of daily life for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Documerica project. The Museum of Art, junkyards, playgrounds, Center City, North Philly and lots of fountains-turned-swimming pools populate Swanson’s collection of photos, published Tuesday by Business Insider.
