Penn State Investigates, Increases Campus Security Amid Threats

Since the July 12th release of the Freeh Report, Penn State’s University Police have received numerous calls pertaining to threats sent to school employees. Many of the emails have turned out to be people venting or harassing employees in the wake of large events in the news cycle related to the ongoing scandal involving Jerry Sandusky’s sexual abuse of young boys and the coverup supposedly orchestrated by Penn State officials. Some of the emails, though, have been threatening. The university has bolstered security on campus and continues to investigate the threats. [Daily Collegian]
