Chase Utley Is Baseball’s Second Meanest Player

Sports Illustrated polled 215 Major League Baseball players asking them to name the meanest player in the Bigs. Chase came in at number two—just behind A.J. Pierzynski of the Chicago White Sox. The Scoop doesn’t know if it’s because of his takeout slides, smug flips with his glove, or some latent jealousy, but he’ll take Utley as is—even if he doesn’t get Christmas cards from the rest of the league.
