Philly to Become NYC’s Seventh Borough?
Oh no! Mayor Bloomberg plans to shove us off our coveted sixth-borough pedestal
Well, the Scoop has certainly enjoyed crouching in New York’s prominent shadow while it lasted. Seems Mayor Bloomberg is making a big push to spruce up New York City’s waterfront property, and he wants to dub the city’s shoreline the “sixth borough.” Where does that leave us, we who were so branded just a little more than five years ago in the New York Times? A city with fewer New York transplants? Now, that would be a shame.
