What to queue up in Netflix
Rent It: The Last Station (R, 2009). Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer shine in this thoughtful, if at times reticent, look at Tolstoy’s final days. My Grade: B-
Queue It: Citizen Ruth (R, 1996). Ruth (the remarkable Laura Dern), a patio-sealant huffing, helpless, pregnant woman, becomes the center of the abortion debate. It’s a shocking hilarious film from Alexander Payne (Election, Sideways). My Grade: A-
