He may be the first openly gay candidate to ever include his young daughter in a campaign ad. But Bevan Dufty is a new kind of candidate. Not only is he openly gay, but he’s also the parent of a little girl named Sydney who makes an appearance in the San Francisco mayoral candidate’s latest televised ad shot on the city’s subway system. The ad’s creative, smart and speaks volumes about innocence and big city life. We like to think Harvey Milk would be proud.
