It’s time to answer that most stressful of questions, “what are you doing for New Years?” We here at Foobooz have been slaving over just that choice the last few days and have compiled quite the list of options for everyone from the gourmet, to the craft beer drinker to the total blow-out diva.
Read on to find out where there’s a Golden Monkey & Mad Elf dance party, who’s serving human sushi and where you can get 6 courses for less than $70.

1601 – Slip into ’09 on the cheap. $2 select drafts, $3 well drinks, passed hors d’oeuvres.
Alison two – hats, noise makers, streamers and a 4-course menu with optional wine pairings. $75 before 7pm, $85 after.
Alma de Cuba – Three prix fixe options including three courses for $40 at 5pm, four courses for $60 starting at 6:30pm and five courses for $90 starting at 9pm. Al Aguilera’s sals bnd will be providing the soundtrack.
Amada – Three levels of tasting menus range from $55 to $95 in addition to the a la carte menu.
Ansill – $75 prix fixe menu and a Midnight toast.
Bar Ferdinand – Make it a Feliz Anno Nuevo at Bar Ferdinand. Tasting menu seatings at 6:30 and 9pm are available for $65 per person.
Barclay Prime – Enjoy the a la carte menu as well as specialty items and a toast to the New Year.
Bayou and Cactus – Get a Manayunk passport for $60. Access to the Bayou and Cactus Cantina. Open bar from 9pm to 1am.
Bindi – Three seatings available. $40 at 5:30 and 6pm. $50 at 7:30 and 8. $60 at 9:30 and 10.
Bistrot La Minette – Four courses and optional wine pairing.
Brasserie Perrier – 4-course prix fixe till 7pm for $65. 6-courses from 7:30 to 10pm for $120. Complimentary champagne toast, party favors and dancing.
Bridgid’s – 15 American craft and import taps, call drinks, selection of bottled beers and Champagne. Tapas buffet, giveaways. 8pm to 2am. $80.
Buddakan – DJ $mall ¢hange will be setting the mood as guests enjoy Modern Asian specials and favorites.
Butcher and Singer – Check out the new classic steak and chop house with the Geri Mingori band plays old favorites from years gone by.
Cantina Los Caballitos – 2 hour open bar for $15. You pick which two hours.
Cochon – Six courses for $65.
Continental – Reservations for parties of six or more are available.
Continental Midtown – Say good riddance to this recession-plagued year with one-night cocktails like the Nasdaqtini, Green with Envy, and Dow-Jones Margarita. DJ Duane Harriott spins.
Cuba Libre – Twilight prix fixe of 3 courses for $32 per person. Late dinner is served at 9 and features four courses and midnight countdown for $95 per person. Or stop in after 10pm to dance and enjoy late night mojitos.
Distrito – $45 and $65 tasting menu are available in addition to the a la carte menu. Also a vegetarian tasting is available for $50.
Domaine Hudson – Just dinner as usual and sometimes that’s just what you want.
Dos Segundos – 2 hour open bar for $15. You pick which two hours.
El Vez – Signature margaritas and Mexican classics plus a tequila toast at Midnight and the first Happy Hour of the new year.
Fez – Enjoy a Moroccan New Years with belly dancers, hookah and complimentary glass of champagne. Oh and ladies, be sure to request a male belly dancer. 5:30 seating is $35 for 8 courses. 9pm to close it is 8 courses for $55.
Friday Saturday Sunday – Celebrate with an old friend as 35-year old Friday Saturday Sunday offers $55 and $65 prix fixe menus plus a la carte for diners seated by 6:15pm.
G Lounge – Flush with cash, then the Premium and Elite packages available ranging from $125 to $225 might be right for you.
Gayle – Early dinner gives you the option of the a la carte menu or 3-course tasting menu for $55. The later seating is 7-courses for $85.
Grey Lodge – Party includes five hours of food, beverages, hats, noisemakers and a champagne toast for $55.
Gypsy Saloon – A la carte menu plus special items like pretzel crusted pork chop with apple sauce.
James – 5 courses for $85 or go all out with additions like caviar, foie gras or truffles.
Johnny Brenda’s – Pattern is Movement, The Mural & The Mint, DJs Kyle [M] and Kyle Andrews. Just $5. Downstairs is free with DJ Brian Sokel.
Jones – American faves and cocktails by a roaring fire. Champagne at Midnight.
Kanella – Have a Cypriot New Year’s Eve with a $45 four course menu.
Le Bec-Fin – Classic 6-course menu at 6pm for $155. At 9:30 there is a 10-course tasting for $200 with an available wine flight.
Le Virtu – It’s a an Abruzzese New Year’s feast with four courses with 10 dishes and of course, complimentary Prosecco and limoncello. $60 for the 6pm and $75 for the 9pm seating.
Lolita – Three seatings, 5:30/6pm is $45. 7:30/8pm is $65. 9:30/10pm is $75.
London Grill – Regular menu and prix fixe available. $45 per person.
Lucky 13 – $3 drinks all night. Menu till 1am.
Lucky Strike – $99 for a 4 1/2 hour open bar, free bowling, breakfast buffet.
Maia – Try the new winter menu upstairs or the bistro menu downstairs. Open seating from 5 to 11pm and the bar is open till 2am.
Marigold Kitchen – Six courses for just $65 per person sounds even better when you realize it’s BYOB. Also a vegetable tasting as well.
McGillin’s Olde Ale House – Sing in the New Year with New Year’s Eve karaoke. $5 cover.
Mémé – 4 courses for $50. $15 supplemental charge for chilled shellfish or go all out with whole lobes of roasted Hudson Valley Foie Gras for $85. Reserve your foie gras when you make your reservations.
Memphis Taproom – No reservations necessary. Enjoy beer-battered caviar, oyster stew, surf and turf and a Cantillon toast at midnight.
Mercato – 1st seating between 5 and 6pm, 3 courses for $45. 2nd seating is between 7 and 8pm, 4 courses for $75 and 3rd seating is between 9 and 10pm, 5 courses for $95.
Mi Lah Vegetarian – Get four courses of vegan fare for $40.
Moriarty’s – $74.95 per person includes 4 hour open bar, dinner buffet, Continental breakfast andchampagne toast.
Morimoto – Omakase for $100 and a specialty Truffle tasting menu for $150.
National Mechanics – No cover, noise makers and champagne toast for all. Or get a table and for $75 per guest you get top shelf from 9 to 1 plus a bottle of Moet and Chandon White Star for the table.
Nectar – Special lobster menu and tapas flights are available in addition to the regular menu.
Oceanaire Seafood Room – 3 course prix fixe or a la carte all night.
Old City Passport – 1 ticket, 2 OLd City Bars (Drinker’s Tavern, Lucy’s Hat Shop), open bar all night for $85.
Palace at the Ben -3 courses for $55 plus lots of naan, raita, mango chutney, basmati rice and more.
Parc – Bonne année! Ring in the new year Parisian style. A la carte menu available all night.
Pearl – Tickets start at $165 for body painted geishas, human sushi, champagne raw bar, mini cheesesteaks and black truffle fries.
POD – Serving their a la carte menu and offering semi-private dining for up to 13 in their pods.
Prohibition Taproom – $55 for an 8pm to midnight open bar that culminates in a champagne toast.
Pub & Kitchen – Caviar is on the menu. Other than that, it’s just another night at the P&K.
Pumpkin – 4 course dinner, $60 per person.
Rittenhouse Passport – 1 ticket, 4 Rittenhouse bars (Drinker’s Pub, noche, Noir and Loie), open bar all night for $90.
Royal Tavern – 2 hour open bar for $15. You pick which two hours.
Rum Bar – Top shelf open bar, Caribbean dinner buffet, champangen toast and dancing for $80 per person.
Salt and Pepper – In addition to a la carte Salt and Pepper is offering lobster surf and turf and Champagne at midnight.
Savona – Do it up a la carte or settle in for a seven-course chef’s tasting for $98 per person.
Silk City – Open bar from 10 to 11pm. Complimentary dessert tray and $5 NYE cocktails all night. $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
Southwark Restaurant & Bar – Special six course tasting menu for $85 or paired with wine for $120.
Standard Tap – It’s a Mad Elf, Golden Monkey dance party!
Supper – Celebrate with a 5-course dinner at Supper.
Tangerine – A la carte from 5 to 7 then prix fixe menu starting at 9pm for $125 per person. DJ Monk One and belly dancers will provide the soundtrack.
Tattooed Mom’s – Ring in the New Year without breaking the bank. Free buffet, $3 PBR pounders, $4 Yards drafts and $25 Champagne bottles.
Tinto – Three special menus from $55 to $95 offered in addition to Tinto’s regular menu.
Tria Cafe – Nothing special at Tria. Just the same old sparkling wines, luscious cheeses and celebratory beers as well as their regular menu.
Valanni – Three seatings. 5pm, 3 courses for $45. 7pm, 3 courses for $75. 9:30, 4 courses for $75 or $125 with 3-hour premium open bar. Open bar is also available from 10pm to 1am for $65.
Nineteen (XIX) – The Cafe is offering three-courses for $68 per person. The Restaurant is offering two four course menus including an all-vegetararian option. The meal is $98. Included in both offerings is a glass of champagne and entry to XIX’s Rose Garden Dance Party.
White Dog Cafe – $60 per person for three courses. A la carte available before 7:45.
Xochitl – $50 per person, $70 with a cocktail paired with each of the four courses of Chef Dionicio Jimenez’s Mexican cuisine.
Zahav – It’ll be the Mesibah Gedolah menu or “Big Party” menu on New Years Eve. In addition to the a la carte menu you’ll find suckling lamb and pastilla of chicken, foie gras and almonds.
