Penn State’s Freeh Report to Be Released [UPDATE]

A report on the Penn State scandal conducted by the Freeh Group International Solutions—a consulting firm led by former FBI director Louis J. Freeh—is reportedly set to be released on Thursday as many students and alumni head back to campus for the annual Arts Fest. The report is the result of an eight-month investigation to determine what effect, if any, the culture and policies at Penn State might have had on the university’s actions—or lack thereof—during the discovery and subsequent investigation into Jerry Sandusky’s abuse of young boys. It has been indicated that the report will not paint Joe Paterno in a very flattering light.

UPDATE: The findings will be posted here at 9 a.m. and Freeh will hold a 10 a.m. press conference in Philadelphia. [ESPN]
